• Zinc Oxide is a mineral sunscreen agent that deflects UVA AND UVB rays.
Different from the many questionable chemical sunscreen ingredients, zinc oxide
is one of the few ingredients considered safe and effective by the FDA.
It offers protection against burning, premature aging, and skin cancer.
Additionally, zinc is commonly relied upon for its healing abilities. It
decreases inflammation and motivates cells to function properly, restoring
damaged collagen and tissue. It has antibacterial and astringent properties,
which help to prevent buildup and infection, regulate oil production,
and improve skin texture.
• Sunflower Seed Oil is non-comedogenic and light in consistency,
making it a great choice for even the most delicate areas. It contains
antioxidant-rich vitamins, fatty acids, and beta-carotene. By delivering and
locking in moisture and antioxidants, it offers amazing protection against
environmental damage and helps maintain youthful texture. It assists the
healing process by reducing inflammation and stimulating cell renewal. It
has the known ability to strengthen the skin’s natural oil barrier.
• Beeswax creates a moisturizing, breathable barrier that protects against
environmental contaminants and increases water resistance. Combined with
reparative vitamin A, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties help
heal dry, irritated skin.
• Olive Oil (SPF ~7.5) closely mimics the skin’s natural oils, so it absorbs
easily to perform antibacterial and anti-inflammatory efforts. Overflowing
with antioxidants, sourced from vitamins and phytonutrients, it aids in the
prevention of sun damage, premature aging, and some cancer-causing cells.
The presence of fatty acids and squalene offers hydration.
• Tocopherol is an organic compound that takes the form of vitamin E. As
a potent antioxidant, it helps neutralize UV rays and other pollutants
to prevent oxidative damage.
• Aloe enhances sun protection with its variety of free radical-fighting vitamins,
minerals, amino acids, and enzymes. It provides deep healing with its ability
to penetrate several layers of skin. This process includes increasing hydration,
reducing inflammation, and repairing collagen. It serves as an antimicrobial,
helping to prevent infection, and offers pain relief with its salicylic acid content.
• Canola Oil contains moisturizing fatty acids, vitamin E, and vitamin K
to support quick healing. Because they cannot be produced by the body,
the included alpha-linolenic acid and linoleic acid are deemed the most
crucial fatty acids in skincare. They help rebuild youthful functions by sealing
in moisture and boosting skin integrity. The availability of antioxidants
makes it a great defender.
